Revision 12212 finished off this change to our core C library, and
the language bindings. These changes only build tested so far.

@Jerry: The rev misnomer and bad documentation of that flag had
propagated (through no fault of your own) to an extraordinary degree
to the Ada bindings. So there were some fairly intrusive changes
there. Those, in fact, constituted a minor API change so revision 12212
also includes the necessary changes to examples/ada, and Ada users
will also have to make corresponding changes to their source code.
But I think addressing this misunderstanding is well worth this minor pain.

@Andrew: when you get around to updating the DocBook alt_hue_path
documentation, you should look at my updated doxygen documentation
in plctrl.c where I made a first attempt at that. Of course, if
you can think of better wording, don't hesitate to change the doxygen
documentation some more.

@Everybody: there will be more to come (probably within a day or so as
a break from my other work) with the remaining examples to finish off
_all_ the rev ==>alt_hue_path code changes.
