I confirm this bug with the latest (revision 12281) svn trunk using

examples/c/x01c -dev epsqt -o test.epsqt -ori 1
examples/c/x01c -dev epscairo -o test.epscairo -ori 1

test.epsqt excludes all text while test.epscairo includes
all text.

If you try the same experiment with -ori 0.1 there is the obvious
long-standing parallelogram bug for both devices (which none of us
have ever been able to figure out), but also in the test.epsqt case,
the title for the lower-left subplot is being cut off by what looks
like an unrotated subplot plotting region.
