Hi Alan, done, both the adaptation of the Wiki page and the release notes.
On this subject: the devices based on X Window are strangely slow. I tried a few other programs, but these show that the slowness is not inherent to Cygwin's X server. It must be something in the drivers. I thought perhaps it had to with pthreads, but that does not seem the case. Explicit flushing occurs only at the completion of a page (unless I overlooked some calls to the XFlush() function). So a more in-depth investigation will be required to solve this issue.
