Soon after I sent the above appeal off, I discovered how our build system set the macro TCL_DIR and how bindings/tcl/tclMain.c used that macro to help determine the Tcl global variable $dir. Therefore, I will try something similar to globally set itcl_package_name, etc., (unless you guys can think of a better method). Alan __________________________ Alan W.
