P.S.  Actually, I jumped to a premature conclusion above based on my
previous bad e-mail experience during this Christmas break.  It turned
out the particular astrogroup computer I was using to retrieve my
e-mail from the university has indeed gone down, but there are several
other alternative astrogroup computers I can use to retrieve my
e-mail, and they are working fine today (so far at least).
