I am virtually positive that is the result of a well-known MSYS bug. See the directions about working around bug http://sourceforge.net/p/mingw/bugs/1950 in cmake/epa_build/README. epa_build uses parallel builds a lot so much better to do the above workaround rather than hacking epa_build.
