Hi Maurice,

now that is a candidate: MS Word has the tendency to make things more 
"beautiful", like smart quotation marks and long dashes instead of minus 
signs/hyphens. Chances are that text editors (and even the DOS window) can 
handle these characters by showing the appropriate glyphs.
