I have now completed copying our current Wiki information (with some
updates as well) from http://www.miscdebris.net/plplot_wiki/ to the
new official site at <https://sourceforge.net/p/plplot/wiki>. I used
the pandoc app for the part of the process requiring transformation
from MediaWiki format to markdown format. That transformation was not
perfect so had to be supplemented by some sed scripting and in the
case of tables and images, hand editing. There was also some special
hand editing that had to be done for the case when a wikilink referred
to a page with a blank or a fraction bar in the title. For the 48
pages whose contents were not altered, the new official site page
looks virtually identical to the old miscdebris site page showing the
markdown format is more than adequate for representing Wiki pages.

I dropped the Subversion_access page since that is no longer relevant.
I also took this opportunity to substantially update three wiki pages
(the Home, General_CMake_documentation_links, and Testing_PLplot
pages). So 51 of the 52 wiki pages at the miscdebris site appear in
our new Wiki site with the same content (48 cases) or substantially
updated content (3 case).

I tagged each of those 3 substantially updated pages in our new
official wiki with the label of "2014" indicating what year they were
last updated. I hope to see plenty of other "2014" tags in the weeks
ahead as others here update PLplot official Wiki pages of interest to
them. Note that core PLplot developers should have write access to our
SF wiki now, but write access to that wiki can additionally be
arranged for anyone else here who wants to help with this update
effort.

@Werner: Thanks very much for your years of effort maintaining the old
official Wiki and also contributing substantially to its contents.
Please freeze the old Wiki site at
http://www.miscdebris.net/plplot_wiki/ and put a notice on its front
page concerning that freeze and also referring to the new official
wiki site.
