P.S.  As you have probably noticed from the git feed I have been
making some progress with that documentation upgrade. For example, all
C callback types are now properly documented for the first time in a
table in the C chapter.  So my next documentation upgrade steps are to
refer to that table of C types wherever relevant in the documentation,
e.g., in the starting paragraphs of the api chapter and also wherever
in that chapter PLplot C callback types are being used as arguments.
I also need to add a table in the Fortran chapter concerning the
Fortran callback types, and I need to completely update the special
chapter on the special Fortran API. (Or maybe remove it altogether
if it is, as I suspect, completely dated/nonrelevant.)

Anyhow, there is still obviously quite a bit I still plan to do on the
documentation front, but hopefully in the next few days I can get that
all done to clear the way for the planned appeal to users to test our
new Fortran binding.
