ccmake is a good choice for getting the annotations for the various options, but there are caching issues with it, and ultimately cmake is more reproducible since all options are spelt out on the command line, and you can also see the annotation of the options in the generated file CMakeCache.txt. Because of that reproducibility issue could you please give us cmake output instead? Here is how you capture such output: cmake -DDEFAULT_NO_DEVICES=ON -DPLD_ps=ON -DDEFAULT_NO_BINDINGS=ON \ path_to_source_tree >& cmake.out Note, I have specified options to turn off all devices unless specified otherwise (e.g., the ps device), and turn off all bindings (except for the C one which cannot be turned off). Also, please be sure to invoke cmake in an empty build tree to avoid caching issues and other stale results. Virtually everybody is new to cmake. :-) I was the first developer in our group to start experimenting with it, but that was only a year ago. We have come a long way with it since because it is so easy to learn and so powerful.
