Hello, 5.8.0-RC1, our test release for the 5.8.0 stable release is now available for download. Assuming that all is well with this release then the official 5.8.0 stable release should be available in about two weeks. Changes from the 5.7.4 release include updating the Octave bindings to be compatible with Octave 2.9, adjusting the Fortran95 bindings to work with a wider array of Fortran95 compilers and fixing a number of bugs in the "3D" text routines plmtex3 and plptex3 (see example 28).
