Hi Alan. Thanks for the prompt response. I'm using cmake 2.8 and plplot 5.9.5. I'm brand new to this so I just got current stable releases yesterday.

I just grabbed the cmake tarball from svn, which expands at plplot/cmake. I was guessing that's what I needed because plplot/cmake/modules/plplot.cmake was modified today. I get the identical problem, though, when I do my build. Maybe I grabbed the wrong piece. As I say, I've got the work-around but of course it would be good to get the right fix.
