in addition you need to tell cmake which compiler toolset you want to use. If you run "cmake --help" at the bottom the list of generators are listed you can use, e.g. for the MinGW compiler toolset you need to call cmake like this cmake -G "MinGW Makefiles" path-to-plot If you are using the cmake GUI, there must be some choicebox where you can set the generator correctly.
