I'll settle for that, then. However, the font files get installed in the 
share/plplot5.9.x directory - and it's a bit counter-intuitive to have a 
PLPLOT_LIB env var pointing to a folder that doesn't contain any *library 
files*. (I guess, if it bothers me, I could always move the files in 
share/plplot5.9.x to the lib folder and point PLPLOT_LIB to that location 
instead :-)
