Yes.  By default the double-precision version of our library is the
one that is built.

And you are right we have now dropped the whole idea of a suffix to
the library name to describe some attribute (such as double precision)
of the build.  In my view, simpler (i.e, a fixed library name in this
case) is better.

You are welcome, and thanks for your persistence which inspired me to
look for the first time in many years at the combination of a binary
download of GTK+ and PLplot built with MinGW and finally get that
combination to work properly.
