I recently upgraded to Plplot 5.11.0. If I use Plplot from within a Fortran 90
code that tries to open a formatted file and read from it, I get an error upon
execution:
forrtl: severe (257): formatted I/O to unit open for unformatted transfers,
unit 15, file

If I change the unit number from 15 to something else I still get the error. If
I comment out the Plplot calls and compile without Plplot, the error goes away.
It’s acting as if Plplot has occupied all available I/O units and declared them
to be unformatted. How do I fix this?
- Thanks, Don
