As discussed on the plplot-devel list, we have encountered some
last-minute development needs so I have decided to bump the freeze
date to next weekend, December 17th to give us a chance to get a bit
more development matured enough to get merged into this release. We
are also in the middle of a wxwidgets bug hunt that might lead to an
important fix for that component of PLplot as well. There is still
quite a bit of uncertainty in that freeze date, but if we can stick to
it, then the actual release would be ~10 days later (to miss
Christmas) to give us ample opportunity to find and fix regressions
and minor bugs and update our documentation between freeze date and
release date.
