THIS IS A FEATURE/CHANGES SUGGESTION, NOT A BUG REPORT (didn't know where
else to send it)
Dear Plucker Team,
thanks for a great tool. I use it a lot, it is the application that runs for
more time on my Palm than any other.
I would like to suggest a change in the "copy URL" feature that would
greatly increase its usefulness:
When I copy a URL, it gets placed in a Note with the date in it. But the
date is not in ISO format, i.e., sorting alphabetically will not put Plucker
notes in the order of their creation. At the time when I get around to
actually inspecting all those remembered URLs, I usually have 5-10 Plucker
notes, plus about 20 "old" ones. The sorting gets them all mixed up. I would
like an option to have a subject of "Plucker URLs YYYY-MM-DD" so the sorting
is good. I think it would be wise to let this subject line be the default.
Also, it might help to have an optional comment to be copied to the note
along with the URL, so when one inspects it (usually on a PC), one still
knows what it was about. (Like "to send to Pete" if one copied the URL in
the first place because Pete would be interested in it.)
It would greatly help if the URLs for many Avantgo channels were known. Many
sites have Avantgo channels set up, but do not link to the URL that
implements them. So, while they do have a Palm-ready service, which would be
usable through Plucker, Plucker users can not use it because they do not
know the URL. I will start to write email to the webmasters for those sites
where I wish I knew the URL, and suggest that you suggest for other Plucker
users to do the same. This "we plan for Avantgo and not for others" is quite
similar and attitude to the "Netscape enhanced HTML" attitude back when that
was en vogue.
Keep up the good work
