Hi Michael,
Technically speaking what you're describing on that
page in the manual is not a "POST" request but a
"GET" request with possibly the parameters of
a form encoded into the URL. This makes it a "GET".
If the parameters are encoded in another way,
< FROM METHOD="POST" ... > then the parameters
arrive in the HTTP protocol using a different
mechanism.
Is there any planning to add forms capabilties to
the actual plucker browser? I like the way avantgo
has done it. You can submit a form and the next
time you sync, it retrieves the actual pages.
I'd like to propose another improvment, which
avantgo cannot handle. That is when one follows a
link to a page which was not downloaded and therefore
is not available on the device (in offline mode).
In the errorbox it would be nice if one would get
a question if one wants to download that page the
next time one syncs...
Anyway, thanks for a good work. An open source
WWW browser for the Palm has been needed a long time.
Cheers,
Jonas
