Colour images and Unix

I can't get colour images to work on Unix, since ppmtoTbmp seems
broken -- it only accepts -2bit (not -4bit), and the resulting bpp=2
image is shown as a double-width monochrome image in Plucker on my
IIIc.

So, is there a patched ppmtoTbmp somewhere?  (The program should be
listed explicitly in the software requirements for Unix, btw, it's not
part of any netpbm I know.)
