Hi All..

After being sequestered for the last few nights, I think that the sony
branch could use a little testing. Specifically, support for the HiRes
and JogDial features on Sony Clie devices (N, S, T series)

NOTE: this is nothing close to an official release. This is nothing
close to a beta release, IMO. Consider it post-alpha. Only test
this out on your Clie if you have everything backed up, etc etc.
My point being... if it crashes and burns, it sounds like a personal
problem :)

That being said, there are quite a few changes in this. Specifically
if you've never installed plucker before, it will try to autodetect
the best resolution and screen depth. If you already have used
plucker on your palm, you will need to set the depth/resolution
manually in the preferences (while viewing a doc)

You should be able to switch from hires to lowres without any
problems, as well it should remember your settings each time you
restart the program.

The Toolbar and scrollbar should all work, except I had to disable
the scrollbar from dynamically updating the document window each
time its moved. Instead the document is only updated once you let go
of the scrollbar itself. This is becuase rendering gets extremly
slow, and until the routines can be optimized, this had to be
turned off.

Fonts however I have not yet been upgraded to handle themselves
properly. Ie, font's 'standard', 'large', and 'narrow' are translated
into 'tiny', 'small', and 'tiny narrow' when actually viewing a
document. Those will be fixed in the next test binary.

Other than that, hack away. Try to crash it. Note that this should
still work for Sony devices that do not support hires, as well as
devices that are not made by sony, without any adverse affects. Feel
free to try the prc out in any device just to make sure it doens't
die a miserable death.

For those of you who want to try it out, you can download a prc from:

As well,.. source code is in the cvs sony branch.
