I wrote slashpluck specifically to avoid having to do that; all you need is perl, slashpluck, and a little time to set things up. You can get slashpluck here: http://jasonday.home.att.net/code/slashpluck/slashpluck.html I have it setup to fetch the slashdot content when I run plucker-build and put a link on my plucker home page. The README explains how to set this up. Feel free to send me a message if you have questions, but my response time is probably going to be very slow for the next couple of weeks.
