A set of this past week's changes for Plucker Desktop have been committed to CVS.
The two more visible things are:
(1) Showcase dialog:
+ Now has more Plucker samples (all the major one, sans any
AvantGo/Omnisky urls, and sans the ones that only make sense on a form
submittal)
+ The showcase dialog made faster/more stable with previews
compiled out
+ Resizing panes resizes the list columns, and a double click on an
entry is the same as selecting the entry and pressing "OK".
(2) A full installer for MSW (installs to the correct spot
automatically, options for start menu entries/desktop icons, etc).
To use the installer, (rest of releases will use proper installers):
(1) Install the main Plucker distribution first, if for some reason you don't have it
already
installed.
(2) Recursively delete your "plucker_desktop" directory if you have one (there is no
savable
info in there, everything important is in the /channels dirctory in the root). This is
just for
cleanliness so the Plucker Desktop uninstaller will remove everything Plucker
Desktop-related
automatically on an uninstall, from here on.
(3) Double click the plucker_desktop_setup.exe and follow the wizard. An option is
available to
install the internationalization files, which are ready to be translated by those with
the
language skills (an info guide on how to translate is included--a translation would
take about
2 hours to do).
