Bill, aside from converting images, does the parser run from the command line? If so, can you send over a jar with instructions to run it? Can you just convert the Python to Java or is there hand coding involved?

I've thought about it. A Java version might be more interesting,
though. If someone wants to add the ability to write Palm image
format to the Java Imaging Utilities (jiu.sourceforge.net), a GPL-ed
Java library for image manipulation, I could make a jar file
containing the parser be a standard part of a release. Everything
else we need is available. It can be compiled from the current parser
sources.
