        My point was that you could use a script called 'install' which
would then bootstrap autogen/autoconf to find the necessary libs and tools
(AC_CHECK_LIB, AC_PROG_FOO), then runs configure (as with any
autoconfiscated source), then have it output or execute install-plucker.

        I'll have to take a closer look at this when I get the stack of
current tasks off of my plate. It may be worth pulling apart a bit more, now
that we have more requirements for things like the parsers (netpbm, libjpeg,
unpluck), Plucker Desktop (wxWindows headers, etc.), and other bits.
