It sounds as though you're recommending something similar to what the
zbox application does. Personally, I find this form of RPN works fine
on calculators, but it screws me up on palms.

Well, hold off until I've done the code to handle a penDownHold-type
of event. Hold the pen down for x time, and rather than opening right
away, the same popup list appears for that document.

Perhaps if I'm missing a fundamental point of what you're saying,
mocking it up in an image may be helpful for me to understand :)
