FWIW. I'm working on a (pure) Java library for creating Plucker documents. This is an entirely new effort, not based on the Python parser code. It's a low-level API geared towards creating Plucker documents programmatically. An HTML parser/spider could be written on top of that. I hope to have something up in two or three weeks. (Probably as a SourceForge project.) I still have to tie up a few loose ends and write documentation, but the hardest part, image support, is almost done.
