While tinkering around with the various parsers, distillers, and
tools.. I notice that we don't touch the read-only bit for Plucker
documents. Any historical reason why not? We can set the beamable,
launchable, and backup, but we neglect to touch the read-only bit.
The second idea I had, pending usefulness of the first, was to add
either a column in the Document Library which could list which bits in each
document were set, or have a Details option that would be able to show this
on a per-document basis. Something like (duck, ugly ascii art coming):
.----------------------------------------------.
| |Name |B|C|R|L|Date |Size |
|---|--------------------|-|-|-|-|-------|-----|
|MS |My Document |x|-|-|x|9/21/02| 3k|
|SD |Other Document |x|-|-|-|8/01/02| 400k|
|RA |Private Document |-|x|x|-|8/01/02| 100k|
|RO |Sharable HOWTO Doc |-|-|-|x|7/15/02| 83k|
`----------------------------------------------'
I think we have enough room there to do it, and it only has to be
one column wide, enough to put an indicator in for the value of that
document. Just an idea.
