If there's a vote, I vote for the pacifier. I don't think
corporate-appeal is such an important thing for the project and I don't
even think that suits can't appreciate a little humor. Also, the logo
design is simple enough to fit as tiny bw icons on the Palm. Its
connotations are rather positive. It might actually get some people to
wonder about its significance (hey, if people do it on the dev-list...)
which might imply popular appeal. And it's here now.
Just my CAD0.03 (less than USD0.02) on the issue.
But on the topic of corporate-appeal, is there a "marketing" strategy
for Plucker? Not only can it compete with AvantGo on the Palm but it
could also make a showing in the general area of Web-downloading. I
have no experience with Plucker-Desktop yet but a desktop reader could
be very useful too...
