Should it at least be an entry in the faq, then? I've seen (at least one)
other queries about this error before.

And thanks Blake for the help with the sed script and the pointer to
Demoroniser - but I don't think it addresses this particular problem though
I haven't yet checked properly.

Which brings the next question to mind: Is it worth having a central
resource of stuff to run after downloading which may fix such common(ish)
problems?
