Hi,

I've just released JPluck beta 2.

http://jpluck.sourceforge.net/

JPluck is a Java-based toolkit for creating Plucker documents. It is a
separate development not based on the core Plucker tools. It includes the
following:

- JPluck X GUI application.
- Command-line Spider.
- Command-line Gallery (for creating a gallery of images in a directory).

JPluck requires Java 1.4. I know that most people do not have such a recent
version of Java installed, and that the download is rather large at 8Mb, but
I think it's worth it. You can download Java here:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/

For Windows users there is a dedicated installer which sets up Start Menu
shortcuts and the necessary environment variables if you choose to install
the command-line tools.

For Linux users there is only a tar.gz archive. I hope to make an RPM
available in the future.

There is a Getting Started document on the site.
http://jpluck.sourceforge.net/gettingstarted.html

The current beta is still missing important functionality (like cookie
handling and Plucklets). The good news is that beta 3 is not too far off
(two or three weeks). That said, this release is still worth checking out.

Let me know what you think.

Regards
-Laurens
