..as long as you don't break existing functionality, i.e. retain the
use of external exclusion lists, and don't make it a requirement to use
these tools and methods in each of the other tools. Each "third party" tool
should be an add-on, not a replacement, of existing functionality, i.e. they
should stand alone, and not replace or supplant existing code in the other
tools.
