Hi Alex,

My recommendation is that you may wish to use the free
Borland 5.5 compiler with their SP1. It is
commandline. There is better precompiled headers,
compile time is about 10x faster vs. cygwin. Just set
your path or whatever to temporarily remove the Cygwin
from path and use the borland bin dir instead (as per
the Borland install instructions)--as they both have
their own 'make' programs. Also, build as a linked
library as described in the Plucker CVS (something
like): /plucker_desktop/docs/BUILDING_BORLAND.txt

As the Free project Open Watcom finishes up
(openwatcom.org), will start to add support for this
also.

Best wishes,
Robert
