I'd really like people with varied devices to test out my latest commits to cvs HEAD. I would be most grateful, as this is very finicky stuff. There are three things that I think I've fixed, all if which should be incorporated in the cvs snapshot:
1. Rotation of non-AA text yielded black bars on OS 3.5+ if there was a background color set systemwide. Please check that this works on your system. 2. OS5 fullscreen tables fixed. There are samples posted for testing at http://bugs.plkr.org/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=805 3. Fixed inline image rotation for images plucked at higher depth than the current display depth under OS5. (It worked fine in the past if current display depth was 1, but it's depths 2, 4 and 8 that need testing for 16 bpp plucks.) Item 1 can be tested on any 3.5+ system. Items 2 and 3 should only affect OS5 (and Acer S50/60) units. My solution to 2 and 3 may seem kludgy if you look at the code because I've had to make my own replacement for BmpCreate(), but this way of doing it is the Right Way since it guarantees that the bitmap has the right format--something one can't assume with OS-generated bitmaps.
