But it is a basic design feature of Plucker (and iSilo) that the heavy computing work is done on the desktop. That's just what Plucker is. Of course everybody is free to try to port the Python parser to the PalmOS platform, but it has enormous memory usage.
And, no, Plucker isn't just for reading the news. For instance, I never use it for reading the news, but for large e-text databases (up to 100mb of HTML).
