I found the reason why I couldn't get color images, it was because the way I run sitescooper, through batchfiles, which somehow must end up bypassing editing the plucker.ini file. Anyway, all I did was add a bpp=8 into the skeleton plucker settings in sitescooper's main.pm file:
[scoop] doc_name=$pdbtitle doc_file=$sitename home_url=plucker:/$convfilename bpp=8 home_maxdepth=9 As you can see, I'm not a programmer! Hopefully this may help someone in the future.
