I have implemented feature request #824 and #915, i.e. it will now be possible to return from the external links form using HW buttons, gestures, fiveway, jogdial, and keyboard settings as long as they are set to "Go Back".
I have added test case for gestures, fiveway, and jogdial events in the external links form.
