While (unsuccessfully) banging on other bugs, I took a look at bug 396.
Actually Agrajag has the right idea. We check to see if the current length
plus the new paragraph is greater than 30000 (line 1452). If it is (and it
is) we force the addition of a continue paragraph. In the description we
are at a length of 29979 and are adding the continue paragraph (4 byte
header, 4 byte start_anchor, 28 bytes "Click here for the next part",
and 2 byte end_anchor) 38 bytes. Now we exceed the 30000 byte limit and
line 1321 complains.
Perhaps line 1321 chould check against Max_Document_Size + Footer_Size
(about 50 bytes) to give the extra room. That's still well below the Palm
record size limit.
Alex's seamless fragments would only 'fix' this if link_fragments was off.
I can make the change and, if sealtit tests it with his original files,
close it. Sounds like it works for Agrajag.
