There was some talk about making Plucker understand at least the basic
"free" formats (Weasel, zTXT, plain text, PalmDOC, etc.) but it never
got off the ground very far.

I think that was before the introduction of PPI. Perhaps some voodoo
around PPI would help leverage this a bit better.
