It doesn't.  It handles HTML which it converts to the format used by
the viewer, and can handle embedded images.  It doesn't do PDFs.

Use something else for PDFs.  My preference is PalmPDF, from Henk
Jonas at Metaview software.  PalmPDF is a free, open source Palm
application, based on a Palm port of the XPDF library. (Note: it
requires an OS5 device)
