I have just bought a new palm as there were issues with the calibration
of the touchscreen on this one and it works fine again. Still a mystery
why it behaved likethat in the first place.

Do you have the proper Palm .prc files that are required for full-screen
access on your hardware? They should be called AppSlipRotate.prc and
StatusBarLib.prc.
Those are only required for a Palm Tungsten 3. The TX should not need them.
Are you sure you're running v1.8 of the Plucker viewer?
Apparently, it used to work, then stopped. I've seen behavior like
this with other apps on my Tapwave Zodiac 2, and it cleared up after a
soft reset.
