OK. I have IR ("beam receive) and BT off, as well as BT discovery (would bothe
polling?). Screen is set to minimum and auto-off to 1 min, and I don't use
autolock (I did install the fix). It is difficult to assign a cause to this
simple problem, but I may have a found a cause/effect.
Condensed:
Leave handheld on overnight with SD card out ==> power drain as shown on
handheld ===> drops approx 5% overnight (varies on different 8 hr periods.)
Replace SD card back into TX, open Plucker (prc was on card) and view docs
===> drops from 81 to 61% overnight.
So, either the presence of the SD card or the use of Plucker caused it. I
had intended to test one variable - use Plucker - but it's installed partly to
the card and partly to the TX (there's 2 pieces). So, for a quick test I've
just i. Used Plucker again ii. Removed card (on which plucker was
installed).
btw, to move something (such as Plucker) between the card and TX can I just
copy and delete?
1. Can Plucker cause a handheld to draw power when off?

Hi -
I'm chasing a power drain with my TX - it often draws down 30% overnight while
off. Is there anyting in Plucker that could be doing this?
thanks

No, but IrDA and Bluetooth polling certainly can. Check that, and make
sure your screen is set to turn off after a small amount of time, 30
seconds or less should be sufficient.
There's also a reported issue with the "autolock" feature of the TX
causing rapid battery drain. Try this URL for tips and ideas:
