Reading documents on the palm in plucker, it turns out if a line contains approximately 28 to 38 bytes (depending on font size) in one long string, without any blanks (0x20), a blank is injected.
This is all well and good, except for multibyte languages like Chinese, where you will often split in half an e.g., big5 character. Selecting each of the five fonts in Options>Font will give five different broken characters. One workaround is to preformat my documents to make sure they have no such long lines (28 bytes = 14 big5 characters) before I feed them into plucker-build. This suddenly happened on my palm M505 with the add-on Chinese big5 system after restoring after battery change, but not on my Acer S10, with the built-in Chinese big5 system. It happens with both .txt and .html documents sent to plucker-build. They all look fine in the desktop plucker viewer though. _______________________________________________ Public archival of this list without permission is prohibited. http://lists.plkr.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-list
