Firstly my apologies if this has been asked before but the option to
search the mail archives appears to be down and google revealed no useful
clues. I am trying to use --bpp=4 option for image depth but get the
following error:

Runtime error parsing document image.jpg:
Error while executing command 'ppmtoTbmp -4bit -quiet [EMAIL PROTECTED] >
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
  Parsing failed!

Looking at ppptoTbmp (version 1.1 obtained from the isaac web page) I can
see that it only supports the -2bit option. This which works but the
resultant images look like wood cuts. Am I missing something obvious
here?

I have ImageMagick 5.2.9, netpbm 9.11 and jpeg 6b installed on FreeBSD
4.3-STABLE. I am using the plucker 1.1.5 binary distribution. I have put
together a FreeBSD port for Plucker but would like to fix this problem
before I submit it.
