Hi,
Now that I've got grayscale images running (and very nicely, too, on
my 4bit Visor Platinum) it seems I came across a strange limitation.
I use altwidth and altheights of 320 and 240 pixels, respectively, but
some of the alternate inline images seem to be too big. Most of the
time plucker just complains that there was too little memory to
extract and display the page or the image, but sometimes (on images,
whose originals were huge) it locks up and I need to soft-reset the
PDA.
I use version 1.1.9 of plucker, as found in the download section on
the web pages (which seem to be unavailable right now).
Anything I should try here (except, of course, using smaller images)?
It cannot be a lack of main memory, since I still have about 5 MB
free, and a fully uncompressed 320x240 4bit images is only about 38k;
so even if I allow for a generous overhead it seems unlikely that this
is really a memory shortage.
But since I don't know if this is really a bug or not, I will not send
an official bug report. Yet.
Regards,
Bernd
