Well, I'm sure you've read the past emails on the list about the
Sony, and our "battles" with them (recall that Slashdot story about Sony
violating the GPL? That was my account of their "activities" someone
crossposted to the front page of Slashdot). In any case, we can't test the
Sony modifications because they haven't yet supplied us with a working
version of POSE that we can use on our development platforms.
That being said, Palm "borrowed" the Sony VFS code that is used to
access the MemoryStick and used it in their own implementation of the SD/VFS
layer, so when Mike gets VFS working with the Handera he's got, it should
all "Just Work(tm)". As for JogWheel, that shouldn't be too hard, but again,
caveat emptor, since we have no way to test it in hardware or software, so
it makes "remote development" a bit difficult.
Care to help us hack on it? Or donate a Sony to the cause?
