Basically, for each database there's a file, usually called
home.html that has links to the pages you want to download. After
installation there should be a default one you can edit.

Assuming you're running Windows, go to the start menu, the program
group for Plucker, and then DB'Default, and then it's one of those items.
(I want to say "Edit" but maybe it's "Setup." It's definitely not the one
with the green plucker pacifier icon.) It should open the home.html file
in Notepad, which you can then edit.

Now, what if you don't know HTML, you say? Or you don't want to
bother with learning the few special Plucker attributes to get the most
out of Plucker? No problem. Two programs have been announced to this
mailing list that (I believe) provide and easy user interface to
update/configure your Plucker databases. I'm not too familiar with them,
but check the archives for information on inipluck and Plucker_Desktop.

I know what you mean. To avoid some of AvantGo's ads, I ended up
downloading Plucker, SiteScooper for caching/quicker downloading, and then
ImageMagick for better graphics. And for Plucker I needed Python and
SiteScooper I needed Perl. And that's not even mentioning the amount of
thought I needed to do what little configuration tweaking I did.

But the benefit is that Plucker is more powerful than AvantGo.
You can easily add more pages to download, without channel limits, and you
can easily read e-books. Plus, no ads.
