Thanks for the reply, but I believe my problem is different from yours. I can pluck the wired-news website okay (no timeouts encountered) and from the output printed on my screen (and redirected to a log file), plucker-build appears to be fetching the news stories. But for some reason, the stories do not get stored in the resulting .pdb file.
Will it help if I attached the log file and the pdb file? If so, let me know and I'll send it.
