Whoops, caused another problem... "8 bit images not supported with PIL
imaging yet. Using 4bpp greyscale."
So my choices are either scrollable images OR color images, on a global
basis? Plus these failed conversions have slowed Plucker to a crawl. This
is accompanied by quite a few "processing ...gif Already tried but
failed." per image.
Should I try switching image_parser on the fly in each channel - for
example to get resized color in news channels, but scrollable monochrome
Dilberts?
