I'm parsing documents with Plucker Desktop v1.2.0.4 (Build Date Feb 12 2003)
and viewing them with Plucker Viewer v1.2 on a Palm V (now upgraded to 8 MB
RAM) running Palm OS 3.1.1.
With that out of the way, does the Palm V support 16-shade grayscale images?
Setting a site in Plucker Desktop to 4-shade grayscale works fine in Plucker
Viewer, but I get just [img] bits if I try to set Plucker Desktop to use
16-shade grayscale images.
I currently have my Plucker Viewer set to 2-bit grayscale (which would explain
why 4-shade images work fine). Oddly enough, though, the Preferences in my
Plucker Viewer only has the options for [1] or [2] in the pulldown for Screen
Depth :-/. (Believe me, I'd try the [4] option if it existed, heh)
Is the non-support of 16-shade images a limitation of the Palm V, a limitation
of Palm OS 3.1.1, or wonkiness with my Plucker Viewer? As a side note, I'm
considering upgrading to Palm OS 4.1 anyway (so that I can use Palm Acrobat
Reader), but would that help anything on the Plucker side of things?
